NFPA has developed a new competency exam for entry-level paralegals, and selected COD to be one of its 12 test sites. The exam, called the “Paralegal Core Competency Exam” (“PCC Exam”), is designed for new paralegals who have not yet worked in the field. In this way it is different than the “RP” exam, a credentialing exam for experienced paralegals.
The PCC exam will be held on June 11 from1 to 4 pm in Room MAC 225. The fee is $65.00. Registration begins April 1 until April 30th. For more information, open the link below:
This is a newer exam, and most employers are not familiar with the “PCC” designation. However, it is a good way to practice taking national paralegal exams, and to earn a credential showing competency in various core areas of the paralegal profession.
