Anne Knight to Speak at DCBA Paralegal Committee Meeting

The next meeting of the DCBA Paralegal Committee is Wednesday, October 10, at 11:45 a.m. Anne Knight will be presenting Legal Research on the Internet: Using the Wild, Wild Web to Your Advantage.

Anne is an adjunct professor in the Paralegal Studies program here at COD. She currently teaches Introduction to Legal Research and Writing. Until recently, she was also an associate attorney at a private firm where she represented plaintiffs in personal injury and medical negligence cases and practiced some municipal law. Prior to entering private practice, Anne was a staff attorney with the 18th Judicial Circuit Court. As a staff attorney, she performed research and writing tasks for the judges of the 18th Judicial Circuit. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois and a summa cum laude graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. Anne is a 2008 winner of the Burton Award of Legal Achievement, a national legal writing award given to fifteen law students from across the country each year in recognition of their published work.
