BIC 1404, COD (Glen Ellyn main campus )

Join us for our final speaker event of the semester! Our special guest will be attorney Benita Kichler. Ms. Kichler is currently Senior Corporate Counsel with ACH Food Companies in Oakbrook. ACH owns familiar brands like Mazola oils, Argo cornstarch, Fleischmann’s yeast, Karo corn syrup, Spice Islands spices, and Twinings teas.

A graduate of The John Marshall Law School here in Chicago, Ms. Kichler has practiced law in several regions of the U.S. She has practiced intellectual property law in Chicago and has managed the trademark department for a large pharmaceutical company on the West Coast. She was also responsible for the dual-licensing programs with NASCAR, World Cup, and the Olympics while with the Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta. Prior to her return to Chicago with ACH, she practiced corporate law with a large regional grocery retailer in the Southeast. She has had a varied career, so she will have plenty of good experience to share with us!

Her presentation will focus on the many options for paralegals. She will talk about opportunities in the corporate setting and how she uses a paralegal, but she will also discuss other choices that paralegals can make during their careers.
