The DuPage Association of Women Lawyers (DAWL) is having an “Inspirational Women Networking Lunch” to honor Illinois Supreme Court Chief Justice Rita B. Garman. I am planning on attending, and a few other faculty and graduates have indicated that they are also going to attend.
Attached is more information about the event. Chantelle Porter, the President of DAWL, said that our students can join DAWL at no charge, and then attend the luncheon at the reduced rate of $20.
Also attached is a membership application. The only student category is “Law Student”, but you can modify the application to indicate you are a paralegal student.
Incidentally, DAWL membership is not limited to women – men can join as well.
If you are interested in going, you should send in your reservation and payment by March 13. Also, let me know by emailing me at email@example.com so I can reserve a table to accommodate students, graduates, and faculty of our program.
It is important to honor inspirational people who work in the legal profession, whether they are men or women!
