Judge Robert Douglas, who teaches Civil Litigation in our program, will be presiding over DuPage County weekend bond court on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30, beginning at 8 am at the DuPage County Jail on County Farm Road in Wheaton. He has graciously consented to allowing students to observe him as he presides over these proceedings, and to stay afterwards for a Q and A session. You will need to arrive in the lobby of the jail by 7:45 am to be admitted to bond court. Bond court usually ends by 9:30 am, but the time it ends varies depending upon the number of bond hearings that are held that day.
If interested, you will need to sign up in advance. To sign up, click on the following link: BOND COURT SIGN-UP.

The closing date for the sign-ups will be Thursday, April 27, at 6 pm or whenever we reach the allotted 12 spots for each day.
You will be given specific bond court instructions prior to the event, including a map and directions to the DuPage County Jail, where the bond court hearings take place. Cell phones are NOT allowed on the premises.
I hope you take advantage of this opportunity to learn about this function of our criminal justice system from an experienced jurist!
