Get your foot in the door!
Rathje & Woodward is looking for help for just this week in packing boxes and moving boxes. This position serves as principal internal and external liaison for Trust Manager. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the overall administrative duties for Trust Manager as well as for the other Vice Presidents and Trust Officers as requested.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform administrative duties for the Trust Manager
- Set up and maintain files for all departmental and employee expenses.
- Assemble data and other information, performing computations and tabulations for special reports, charts, summaries, and related papers.
- Act as secretary to the Trust Committee and create minutes for Trust Investment Committee, Trust Staff and Trust Business Development/Sales.
- Process and prepare all needed Revenue reports for Trust Department and Board Packets.
- Work with various Attorneys on legal documents.
- Prepare and coordinate all Trust Committee meetings and other meetings for Trust Manager.
- Attend various Committee meetings and prepare minutes.
- Assist employees in St. Charles office with administrative duties.
- Type reports, memos, and other bank documents which are frequently confidential in nature.
- Write standard letters and answer routine correspondence.
- Plan and coordinate meetings, events, travel arrangements, and conferences.
- Greet visitors, answer phone calls, take messages, place calls as requested, and answer questions.
- Receive and process-incoming mail, develop any required information or supporting data as needed.

The firm is hiring an entry-level paralegal to work in the Estate Planning practice area. The role focuses on assisting the lawyers at the firm who help families enhance their lives though legal planning, guidance and counseling.
Duties: Learn and perform paralegal duties supporting the firm’s Estate and Trust Administration, Probate, and Guardianship lawyers. Ideal role for a paralegal who can fit into an active team setting. Background: The Circuit Court appoints guardians for people who need help in making decisions about their daily lives. The guardian is responsible for protecting the person under guardianship: to manage any funds the person may have, and to arrange for care which will ade- quately provide for the ward’s physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. The purpose of the Court Monitor is to give the court a way to obtain current information about wards and to verify that each is re- ceiving good care.
Court Visitor: The visitor goes to the ward’s residence, observes condi- tions and talks with the ward about his or her needs. The Visitor will also speak to the guardian and to any other caregivers. The Visitor re- ports back to the judge in writing.
Qualifications: Good listening and communication skills, friendliness, common sense, objectivity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Training and Support: A five to six hour video taped training is re- quired. Volunteers are supervised by Circuit Court Staff.
